1. Learn to receive love. Find a mentor. Ask people how they receive love. If they gaze at you with a question mark on their face, move to the next person with this question. Those who know to receive love will tell you.
  2. Purpose. Find your purpose of life. Know it. Live it. If you do not know your purpose do everything to get to it: Think. Write self-addressing questions. Meditate. Pray. Seek. Ask from others what did they do to find their purpose of life. One most important clue is to know what you love most. Doing that often takes you to your purpose. Find your passion. Find something that you love to do and you would do and do not worry whether you get paid for it or not and then
  3. Live off your passion. Use your passion in some way that creates value to lives of others. People love to pay for what will add genuine value to their lives. Find a way that may let you earn using what you love to do. It is a blessing to earn doing what you love.
  4. Travel. Be ready to come out of your comfort zone. Leave all excuses. Can’t take off from work. Having to pick up kids to and from school. Annual audits. A friend’s marriage to attend. Travel a lot. Sometimes travel without a plan. Just go out with an intent to travel and sight-seeing.
  5. Decide to live a simple life. Take frequent walks than using a car. Drink plain water and not sodas. Cook at home. Play with kids. Have fun.
  6. Spend time on gardening. Do that even if it’s a few pots containing flowers. You will learn patience, resilience and appreciation of beauty.
  7. Stop waiting for happiness to arrive. Simply because it never does arrive. Happiness is not a railway station that you would arrive at. Neither it is an event after which you will feel happy.
  8. Get rid of mental conditioning that possessing more of things makes us happy. Spend some serious time to abolish this attitude.
  9. Discipline yourself. Disciplining yourself gives you joy.
  10. Love someone more than yourself.
  11. Appreciate people who love you without seeking an evidence of it.
  12. Do not be the first to break relationships, promises and trust.
  13. Stop seeing mirror for 10 days.
  14. Walk on foot up a hill.
  15. Soak in the rain frequently. Do not avoid that just because you might catch cold.
  16. Swim.
  17. Own a pet that can respond to your presence. A horse if you can afford one or a dog or a cat is a great company. Owning a snake, a crab, or a lizard or a toad does not give you that joy that owning a dog or a cat does.
  18. Stop being in a hurry or to take several appointments to meet in a row. You will enjoy none.
  19. Make great love.
  20. Contribute. Do free service. Teach someone for free. Donate what you love most.
  21. Never lose hope.
