Performance Improvement Through Eight Behavioral Layers

Intro:

The Human Performance Improvement has always been one of the main goals of every competitive endeavor in history.

Ranging from performance of soldiers in the battlegrounds and that of pilots in the aircrafts, to athletes in Olympics arena, to sales people from pharmaceutical teams, to the CEOs  and Senior Executives in their office trying to maximize their productivity and presence in the limited office hours, and to the industrial output to digital production per minute, everything in the modern industrial, digital manufacturing and production, is about Performance and how we can improve it.

Program Design:

This program is designed to let the participants improve their performance, one step a time, by developing an initial understanding about performance, human performance and then then taking it on to personal and finally to group levels.

Thus this program will have three levels:

  1. Understanding Mental Behavior (layers) for Personal Performance Improvement
  2. Essentials of Performance Improvement (PI).
  3. Altering Mental Layers for Optimum Performance.

You Will Learn:

Module 1: Human Behavioral Layers

What comprises human behavior?

Our behavior is atop of the total 8, out of which 7 lie beneath it, creating a mask upon mask. The human behavior cannot shift to any new dimension say:

  • from irresponsible to responsible,
  • from casual to thorough,
  • from sullen to cheerful,
  • from non-cooperative to cooperative,

unless all the layers below are addressed.

  • The Human Behavior, even if pushed to a change under an external pressure, will revert to its original form, as soon as that external pressure is removed.
  • Most of the training sessions address the outer, most external layer i.e. behaviors, without addressing the layers beneath.
  • This is the primary reason such training activities result in temporary impact and do not create permanent change.

Module 2: Performance Improvement: Essentials and Working. How PI initiatives are carried out in an organization?

  1. Performance Improvement (PI) :
  • Knowing, and Understanding PI
  • Discussing Essential Concepts necessary to lay culture of consistent PI.

  2. PI and Extrinsic factors
  3. Performance Consulting: What Training alone does not solve?
  4. PI Initiative Steps:
  • Identification of PI issues (how to and what are the main repetitive PI issues)
  • Finding root causes (how to find out specific PI issues).
  • Selecting, designing of PI solutions (
  • Implementation of selected solution/s
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  1. Purpose and Goals of PI
  2. PI solutions are different than training solutions
